NYC

I flew to NYC for a weekend of fun, sightseeing, wedding dress shopping, and birthday celebrating with my older sister. It was a whirlwind trip, but very fun.

On Friday we went up to the Top of the Rock, and took a tour at rockfeller center, but got moving much too late Friday morning to make it on the TODAY show:(

We also went to Long Island to visit the Cotton Bride workshop, where I tried on several wedding dresses. My sister and I spent 2 and 1/2 hrs there, having a surprisingly fun time playing dress up.

Saturday we took the ferry out to Ellis Island and to see Lady Liberty.

We took in CHICAGO, the musical, which was very good. Much funnier than the movie and surprisingly entertaining considering the almost complete lack of a set. We then wandered Times Square, taking in the sights of the city at night.

Sunday was a day of museum highlights. We hit the museum of natural history (where we spent most of our time looking at birds of the world and at a space show that was super cool), the Guggenheim (which was kind of lame beyond the architecture of the museum itself), and the MET. The MET was huge and we barely made a dent in it. Very impressive museum, worthy of more than the couple hours we had to see it.
