So this post is long overdue BUT 2012 has been a very busy year for us BECAUSE we're having a baby!!! We actually found out Friday, Feb 24 and I left for my field season in Austin on Monday, feb 27. So we only got the weekend to absorb the big news before being separated for 3 and 1/2 months.

I successfully endured my rigourous field schedule of 7-days a week, 12+ hours days, and even had to add field work for another project I began this year. So there was a lot of work stress, but luckily none of my seasonals helpers left early and I enjoyed a pretty easy 1st trimester. So easy in fact that I got away with keeping it a secret for the entire field season. When I returned in June, we got to surprise Randy's family at the welcome home/father's day party - it was an awesome surprise! We spent the rest of the summer preparing for baby.

By fall, I started getting a big ole baby bump, making me increasingly uncomfortable. I continued going to my weekly prenatal yoga and walking 1-3 miles a day, with the occassional run. In fact, I even ran when 41 weeks pregnant. That's right, I went 41 weeks and 5 days.
