We decided to not find out the gender. I thought it would make the delivery that much more special - which it did. After 41 weeks and 5 days, our baby girl finally arrived on November 12, 2012. Labor begin on Sat, 11/10 just after lunch. I was able to labor through the big Aggie football game where they beat #1 Alabama and then our doula arrived and labor stalled for a couple hours while she was there. We travelled to the birthing center that evening only to be told I was barely dilated and go home to sleep. I wish! We were up all night and returned to the birthing center early the next morning and met our doula, only to be told AGAIN that I was barely dilated. No walking the lovely woods outside on this cold, rainy day. We went to the nearby mall and walked. It was horrible. Then back to the birthing center and after hours and hours and hours of increasingly painful contractions, including >6 hours in transition, we finally had a beautiful girl at 1:59 a.m. Monday morning. Pushing was actually the "easy" part after trying to not push for so long. Ashelynn June was 8 lbs 1 oz and perfect:)
